Additional Departures of Tech HEAT 74
To meet the increasing demand on Tech HEAT Route 74 to GTCC's Jamestown campus, additional trips have been added to the regular service. Students and the public may now choose from an additional two departures at 12:45 pm and 1:45 pm daily. Riders are encouraged to use the new trips as a convenient alternative during times of congestion.

Want to check out the new International Civil Rights Center & Museum? Start your visit on GTA or HEAT. GTA Routes 1-27 and HEAT Routes 70, 71, 72 and 70 / 71 will all deliver you to the J. New Year Brings GTA Service Changes
Oh, the places you will go in 2010! Make GTA your transportation of choice in the new year as we take you more places than ever! For your convenience, please be aware of the following service changes beginning January 2:

Route 15 - Daily and evening services will be extended to the Lees Chapel Road area, adding the following stops: Yanceyville and Leaf, Yanceyville and Rankin, Yanceyville and Whitesand, Yanceyville and Lees Chapel, Lees Chapel and Mitchell, Lees Chapel and Laurel Lee, and Lees Chapel and Southern Webbing Mill.

Route 9 - Outbound evening service bus stops at the following areas will be moved: Wright and Aycock, Walker and Warren, Walker and Tremont, and Walker and Chapman. Riders will be able to use stops at Aycock and Walker and Chapman and Walker.

Although GTA is your way to move, we know that there are some locations riders need to reach outside of our growing service area. Join a vanpool or carpool today and share a ride with people who have a similar schedule and commute. WiFi Hot Spot Comes to the Depotbus stop sign
Patrons of the J. Douglas Galyon Depot's GTA waiting areas now have access to free WiFi service. Persons with laptops, iPods or other devices can connect at either of the GTA waiting rooms, as well as the outside patio area. To surf the Web for GTA and HEAT information or any other Internet resources, open your browser and agree to the terms of service. Internet access is subject to the same restrictions as all other City of Greensboro public WiFi access locations.

The City's Public Transportation Division is making preparations to begin construction on a new 64,000 square foot administration and Architectural rendition of new GTA Administration and Maintenance Facilitymaintenance facility. Located on West Meadowview Road in South Greensboro, the 17.5 acres will offer space for GTA's current and future capacity needs. Construction is projected to be complete in early 2011. Make sure to visit GTA's flickr site to follow the construction progress.

GTA Monthly Board Meetings Held in City Council Chambers
Monthly meetings of the Greensboro Transit Authority Board take place in City Council Chamber in the Melvin Municipal Office Building (City Hall). Meetings begin at 6 pm, unless otherwise noted. Parking is available in the Church Street Parking Deck.
