Important Notice of Route / Service Change Beginning Monday, September 6, Greensboro Transit Authority will make important changes to Route 1 Wendover Avenue and Route 1A West Wendover Avenue Connector. As a result of the closing of the Evergreens/Lifespan transfer point, passengers will now transfer between routes at Boren Drive and Norwalk Street. This will also cause some slight deviations on these routes. In addition, the weekday frequency of Route 1A will change to hourly with buses departing the transfer point at the bottom of every hour. Updated route schedules are available on our Routes and Fares page. GTA requests that users of Routes 1 and 1A plan their trips accordingly for these changes.
September Rider Advisory Panel Meeting Change Due to the upcoming Labor Day holiday, the September Rider Advisory Panel meeting will be combined with the Service Evaluation Committee meeting on Monday, September 13, at 5:30 pm at the GTA offices.
Batteries running low? Have a charge on us! As a benefit to our riders, GTA has installed a new charging station in the GTA waiting area of the J. Douglas Galyon Depot. The kiosk will allow up to eight devices to charge at a time while riders are waiting for the bus. Use it for laptops, e-readers, iPods, cell phones or any of your portable electronic devices. Don't forget...free Wi-Fi is available at the Depot as well. GTA keeps you connected during your commute!
Headed towards Four Seasons Town Centre or Wendover Avenue? If so, you have two new express options available for you. Route 78 is also available, connecting Guilford College and UNCG with Four Seasons and the Wendover Avenue Area Shopping District. Of course, you can ride these routes for the same fares as GTA. Check the HEAT website for more details.

Mark wins a fuel-free weekend courtesy of GTA, PART and the NC Zoological Park. To read other submissions, visit the winner page.
