Wildlife and Environmental Classes
Native Americans March 19, 6-7:30 pm, Cost: $2, All ages Learn about the fascinating lives of these native people. Through artifacts and demonstrations, you will learn about Native American customs, food, weapons, and crafts.
Beginning Fly Fishing March 27, 8 am - 1 pm, Cost: $55 per person, All ages Join us for a class that covers all the basics you need to start fishing, such as knot tying and rigging, fly fishing techniques, location selection, and safety.
Wilderness Survival Skills Session 1 - Emergency Preparedness and Equipment Selection April 10, 10 am -12 noon, Cost: $2, Ages 10 & older Join us for a series of classes designed to teach the basics of surviving in the wilderness. Living in the wild can be 95 percent preparation and five percent perspiration if you're ready for what you will face.
History of Bur-Mil Park Established in 1989 through the purchase of the former Burlington Industries recreation facility, this 250-acre park adjacent to Lake Brandt provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities to Guilford County residents.
