What's New
Bur-Mil now offers Yoga Classes!
Classes take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:45-8 pm in the Clubhouse. Registration may be taken in advance, but walk-ins are welcome if space allows.
The cost is:
$50 - Six-class session
$90 - 12-class session
$10 - Per class walk-in
Classes are taught by Susan Price, a licensed, experienced, and insured Yoga instructor.

Bug Collector’s Paradise
June 27, 7:30-9 pm
$2 per person, Ages 5 & older
As Spring arrives and things get stirring, NC’s insect residents begin the long, involved process of eating, reproducing, and preparing for the onslaught of the coming winter. In this class we will cover the techniques for collecting, viewing, and preserving insect specimens.

Nature Photography
July 2, 6-7:30 pm
 $2, All ages
Wildlife photography is much more than shutter speeds and exposure times. This class will cover techniques for “observing while unobserved,” the best times of day and year for taking pictures, and the basic equipment you will need. 

Snakes are Beautiful July 18, 6-7:30 pm

Learn the difference between venomous and non-venomous as well as the true nature of one of the most misunderstood animals of all, snakes! 

Birds of Summer July 29, 6-7 pm
Free, All ages
Learn about our summertime birds. Find out what they like to eat, and what plants you can put in your garden to attract a variety of birds.

Endangered Species of NC
July 30, 6:30-7:30 pm
$2, All ages
North Carolina is home to many unique species of animals that are native to the north and south due to its special geographic location. Some of these animals are endangered, and this class will cover the identification, protection, and appreciation of those species. 


                                                        History of Bur-Mil Park

Established in 1989 through the purchase of the former Burlington Industries recreation facility, this 250-acre park adjacent to Lake Brandt provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities to Guilford County residents. The park is owned by Guilford County and managed by the City of Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department.
