Watershed Trails of Greensboro
Greensboro Watershed Trails

Check out our updated Watershed Trails Map that introduces our newest hiking and biking trail, Wild Turkey, sponsored by Fat Tire Society.

The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Watershed Trails surround the City's municipal reservoirs. More than 42 miles of natural surface trails offer opportunities to experience the joys of the outdoors. These trails provide recreational enjoyment for any outdoor enthusiast. The beautiful scenery around the lakes, wildflowers, trees, and wildlife make these trails one of Greensboro's best kept secrets.

The watershed trails are preserved in a primitive manner and most are linear -- you'll walk out and back along the same path from the trailhead where you started. Bring plenty of drinking water, dress appropriately for weather, and plan accordingly. Please use "Leave No Trace" ethics to help us keep the trails and trailheads clean by packing out what you pack in. Trailhead parking is available at most trail entrances, but is limited to roadside parking in some areas.
