Youth Sports

Baseball
Youth Baseball is offered for kids ages 7 to 14. Progressions from Coaches Pitch, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony emphasize fun while teaching basic skills as participants move toward competitive play. Seven to 10-year-olds are not required to try out for teams. Players age 11 or older may be cut from teams based on skill levels, but every effort is made to place them on teams. The age cut-off date for all age groups is April 30.

Leagues are made up of Greensboro Parks & Recreation teams, which are charged a team entry fee, and associations that set their own fees and select their own coaches. Some teams are sponsored by local businesses, but additional fees may be assessed for each player to cover the cost of equipment, uniforms, and other items.

Youth Baseball Age Groups:
Coaches Pitch - 7 & 8 year olds
Mustang - 9 & 10 year olds
Bronco - 11 & 12 year olds
Pony - 13 & 14 year olds
The age cut-off date for all age groups is April 30.
