Green Hill Center for North Carolina The Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art is a key resource in the state for North Carolina art and education. Celebrating 25 years of service in 1999, Green Hill promotes the visual arts of North Carolina with ongoing exhibitions and a wide variety of educational programs. Educational programs and outreach serve diverse audiences and include ArtQuest, Artist-in-the-Schools, and Traveling Trunks of art objects. Nine to 12 annual exhibits and events feature works by emerging and nationally recognized artists from across the state. Special programs offered throughout the year include artists' talks, conferences, panel discussions, workshops, and performances.
Green Hill's Sales Shop, showcases fine arts and crafts of North Carolina. In addition, the Questore features a variety of educational books, toys and art supplies for children.
ArtQuest With the opening of ArtQuest in 1996, the state's first interactive art gallery for children and families, Green Hill continues to expand its educational programs and outreach. ArtQuest features innovative hands-on exhibits, designed by North Carolina artists, and a studio space where children and adults together can explore, imagine, and experience the arts. ArtQuest reaches audiences of all ages including underserved groups, through scholarships and family nights on Wednesday evenings, collaborations, participation in festivals, morning group and school tours, in addition to special workshops and programs.
