Community Service Guidelines

Listed below are the Community Service Guidelines effective January 1, 2009. Before calling to make your community request, please read the guidelines carefully. If you feel your event fits these guidelines and your event is more than two weeks away, call 336-574-4088 to request fire department personnel. 

  • A 9 am start time for your program.
  • We do not offer any type of birthday parties - either at a residential home or at a Fire Station.
  • No more than two community programs scheduled per day per fire company. 
  • No more than two hours in length; companies are in-service during community events. If personnel receive an emergency call, they will leave your event. 
  • A 10-15 day prior notice is required.
  • The Greensboro Fire Department no longer has a Fire Safety House.
  • Only one event per year for businesses. The program must have educational value with a minimum of 50 people in attendance.
  • During October, fire prevention activities keep the department booked. Expect that reservations during that month may be difficult to accommodate.
