Adopted Stream Clean-Up
In 2003, GYC adopted the stream behind the GYC office, located at 501 Yanceyville St., in an effort to involve its members in a community service project that impacts the environment. Each September and April, GYC members. armed with trash bags and gloves, clean the stream. Lunch is provided for all volunteers. Volunteers should meet at the GYC office and look for the directional signs.
The next stream clean-up will be Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 10 am to 12 noon.
Volunteers interested in cleaning the adopted GYC stream should contact the GYC office at 336-373-2738.
Note: Volunteers must wear appropriate clothing to participate in this project.
