Arbor Day Program
2009 Arbor Day Celebration
Third grader helping to plant a tree
Each year the City of Greensboro, in partnership with Greensboro Beautiful Inc. and the Guilford County Cooperative Extension Service, gives away tree seedlings to all of the third graders in the Guilford County School System on Arbor Day. This year, Arbor Day will be celebrated on Friday, March 30.

Also, on Saturday, March 21, 1,000 white Oak and 1,500 white Dogwood seedlings will also be given away in the field off Homeland Avenue behind the Greensboro Farmers’ Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville St., across from War Memorial Stadium. The trees will be given away on a first-come basis beginning at 9 am. Parking will be available in the Homeland Avenue field.

Celebrating Arbor Day is a great way to help restore our City's tree canopy.Volunteer bagging tree seedlings
