Greensboro Neighborhood Directory
The City of Greensboro Planning Department has updated and revised neighborhood data for use by the Greensboro Neighborhood Information Center, the Greensboro Neighborhood Congress and the Planning Department. The data will be used for future phases of the City Comprehensive Plan and by other City departments. View neighborhood data and other City features on this interactive map.

Neighborhood areas are compiled using various residential categories such as redevelopment areas, historic districts, public housing communities, subdivisions, and census tracts. Neighborhood boundaries are created using geographic elements such as major roads, railroads, streams, and waterways.

Residents in any given area should note that boundaries illustrated as neighborhoods by the Planning Department might not reflect their perceived idea of what their neighborhoods are. Furthermore, several neighborhoods reflected on the map were established by the Greensboro Neighborhood Congress. None of the boundaries have been officially adopted by the Greensboro City Council. Revised boundaries are always based on input from neighborhood residents.
