- African Heritage Center – Housing the nation's largest collection of African art and artifacts, this museum offers tours and lectures designed to educate people in the accomplishments, history, and culture of African societies and persons of African descent.
- Arboretum and Arboretum Trail – Take a leisurely stroll on the paved and natural trails that meander through the gardens and open space at the Greensboro Arboretum. This 17-acre site was developed through a cooperative partnership between the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department and Greensboro Beautiful.
- Barn Dinner Theatre – Since 1962, the Barn Dinner Theatre has provided a quality dining experience along with Broadway style performances. The theatre is the oldest continually operating dinner theater in the United States.
- Bennett College – Founded in 1873, Bennett is one of only two historically black colleges in the United States exclusively for women. The College has an enrollment of 607 and offers 24 areas of study.
- Bicentennial Greenway – The 4.9-mile Bicentennial Greenway is a multiple-use trail that resulted from a collaborative effort between the City of Greensboro and Guilford County.
- Blandwood Mansion – The restored home of Gov. John Motley Morehead, Blandwood Mansion is America's oldest Italianate villa. Blandwood was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and received the distinction of being named a National Historic Landmark in 1988.
- College Hill – College Hill, Greensboro's first local historic district, is made up of a variety of architectural styles and uses, making the neighborhood interesting and unique. With support and funding from the City, the community is thriving.
- Greensboro College – Greensboro College, a four year, independent institution affiliated with the United Methodist Church, was founded in 1838. The College enrolls nearly 1,300 students from approximately 27 states and 16 nations.
- Guilford Courthouse National Military Park – This is the site of the battle between Maj. Gen. Nathanael Greene and Lt. Gen. Charles Earl Cornwallis. The battle changed the course of the war and contributed to the eventual American victory at Yorktown seven months later.
- Historical Museum – The museum's 17,000 square feet of exhibition space offers hours of entertainment and educational enjoyment. View a vintage moving picture in the Crystal Theatre, listen to a conversation at the local Telephone Exchange, or become a pharmacist at the Richardson-Fariss Drugstore. You can also learn about short story writer O. Henry, First Lady Dolley Madison, the Greensboro sit-ins, and more.
- International Civil Rights Center and Museum – Currently under construction in the original FW Woolworth building in downtown Greensboro, the International Civil Rights Center and Museum will honor the 1960 sit-in movement and those who participated in the sit-in and in other demonstrations this action spawned. This museum will feature artifacts, photographs, and other memorabilia depicting the lunch counter sit-in as well as the civil rights movement.
- J. Douglas Galyon Depot – Originally built in 1927 as a Southern Railway train terminal, the Depot serves as a multi-modal transportation facility that includes the GTA Transfer Center. Located on East Washington Street in downtown Greensboro, the Depot hosts other transportation providers, including Carolina Trailways, Greyhound and Amtrak.
- Lakes and Watershed Parks – The City of Greensboro provides a variety of recreational activities for the public at its three water supply reservoirs. The Watershed Parks are located at Lake Higgins, Lake Townsend, and Lake Brandt and offer traditional outdoor activities, such as fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, hiking and picnicking. The Watershed Parks are surrounded by more than 36 miles of watershed trails.
- North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University – NC A&T offers degrees at the baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral levels. Six schools make up the two colleges, Engineering and Arts & Sciences.
