City Offices Closed for Independence Day

GREENSBORO, NC -- (June 23, 2008) – City of Greensboro offices will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. The following services and facilities will operate on a holiday schedule:

• No trash or recycling pick-up will take place on Friday, July 4. Friday’s collection will take place on Thursday, July 3. Thursday’s collection takes place on Wednesday, July 2.
• The White Street Landfill and the Solid Waste Transfer Station will both be closed on Friday, July 4.
• All branches of the Greensboro Public Library will be closed on Friday, July 4, but will operate regular hours on Saturday and Sunday, July 5-6.
• GTA and SCAT will both run a Saturday transportation schedule on Friday, July 4.
