Homicide Investigation

Greensboro Police detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred the evening of December 1 in the 900 block of Gregory Street.

At approximately 8:50 pm officers responded to this location in reference to shots being fired. When the arrived, they located a gunshot victim in the street. He was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he died in surgery. The victim has been identified as Derrick Eugene Boyd, 28.
