Reading Railroad

The City has a number of rental facilities available.
• The Bryan Enrichment Center, 22,000 square feet, is a popular site for weddings, receptions, and other events. For more information, call 375-2222.
• The Bur-Mil Clubhouse has meeting rooms available for rent. For more information, call 373-3800.
• The Price Bryan Performance Place Amphitheatre, 200 North Davie Street, can be rented for special occasions. For more information, call 373-2712.
• The Greensboro Coliseum Complex and Arena, Special Events Center, War Memorial Auditorium, and Pavilion can be rented. For more information, call 373-7400.

SCAT – Specialized Community Area Transportation
The Greensboro Transit Authority operates the para-transit service, Specialized Community Area Transportation (SCAT), for persons with disabilities who are traveling within the City limits. For more information, call 333-6589.
Senior Citizens
The Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of activities and programs for citizens, age 55 years and older. Many year-round activities are held at Smith Senior Center, 2401 Fairview Street. For more information, call 375-2237.
Sidewalks
If you are interested in having a sidewalk installed in your neighborhood, call the Transportation Department at 373-2332. For sidewalk maintenance requests, call 373-2375.
Sight Obstructions
Sight obstructions are shrubs, signs, and tree limbs that make it difficult for drivers to see oncoming or turning traffic. To report a sight obstruction, call 373-2332.

Tannenbaum Historic Park
The Tannenbaum Historic Park preserves a portion of the 18th Century farmstead of Joseph Hoskins, whose land served as a staging area for British troops during the Revolutionary War Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Channel 13, Greensboro’s local government cable access television station, features programs on City government, its various departments, divisions, agencies, and services. Transit Information
The Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) operates Greensboro’s public transit system. During inclement weather, limited service is provided. For scheduling information, call 335-6499.
