Wastewater Treatment Plants
Greensboro operates two wastewater treatment plants:

Water Resources
The Water Resources Department administers water and sewer service to more than 220,000 individuals and businesses and manages the operation of three surface water reservoirs, three pumping stations, two water treatment plants, two water reclamation plants, 1,532 miles of water distribution systems, 1,340 miles of wastewater collection systems, and 13 water storage tanks. White Street Landfill
Located at 2503 White Street, the landfill is open from 7:50 am - 4:50 pm, Monday through Friday, and 7 am - 1 pm on Saturday. For more information, call 373-7658.

Youth Council (GYC)
The Greensboro Youth Council offers a variety of programs of civic involvement, leadership and career development. It also organizes the GYC Carnival, High IQ Bowl, and a Holiday Toy Drive. Membership is open to all 9th-12th graders in the Guilford County School system. For more information, call 373-2734.
