Citywide Clean-Up Day

You can participate in community or neighborhood clean-ups on September 16.

Big Sweep volunteersBig Sweep, Litter Sweep and a neighborhood clean-up will be combined this fall into one citywide clean-up day. On Saturday, September 16, volunteers and City staff will work together to clean up streets, waterways and neighborhoods throughout Greensboro. Volunteer with Big Sweep to clean waterways in the city, spend the day beautifying our highways with Litter Sweep, or clean up your neighborhood with the Greensboro Neighborhood Cleanup. For large cleanup efforts, the City will provide trash trucks for bulk trash, yard waste and scrap tires. For more information, call Lynne Leonard at 373-2957.

Our Commitment

The City is committed to a customer-friendly environment.

The City’s Comprehensive Plan, Connections 2025, calls for promoting a customer-friendly environment within city government. One specific recommendation for improved customer service is to involve the City Manager’s Office in resolving permit issues between the City and developers. In order to demonstrate this fact, this commitment statement from the City Manager is now posted on the City’s website and on placards in City facilities.
