Annexation Approved
Twelve areas will be annexed into the city effective June 30, 2008.
In one of its last official acts, the outgoing City Council approved ordinances for the City-initiated annexation of 12 areas. Approval of the ordinances followed an annexation schedule that began on September 4 when the resolutions of intent to annex were presented to City Council. In late October, the City conducted one public informational meeting and two drop-in sessions to provide information about the proposed annexations to residents in the areas, and Council held a public hearing on the annexations on November 5. The effective date of the annexation is June 30, 2008.
