City Council Meeting
City Council will hold a regular meeting Tuesday, November 10, at 5:30 pm in the Council Chamber of the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St. Council meetings are open to the public. Free parking is available in the Greene Street Parking Deck after 5 pm. The meetings are also aired live on Channel 13 and through videostreaming on this Web site.

Weekend EventsAztec Dancer
Head downtown this Saturday, November 7, for books and culture. Stop by the Friends of the Greensboro Public Library’s semi-annual used book sale from 9 am to 2 pm at Central Library, 219 North Church St. And, learn more about Native American culture at the 16th annual Native American Cultural Festival from 11 am to 3 pm at Price-Bryan Amphitheatre / Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St.

Loose Leaf Collection
Raking LeavesThe City's annual Loose Leaf Collection Program begins Monday, November 9. Leaves that are curbside by that day will be picked up by December 12. It's easy to participate in the program and beginning November 9, you will be able to check the status of collection in your area by using this interactive map.

City Connections

Channel 13's November episode of City Connections is now available. This episode features the S. Elm Street Brownfield Redevelopment project, Greensboro Historical Museum renovations, a Barber Park update, upcoming Greensboro Coliseum events, and a chat with City Manager Rashad Young.

Going Digital

Greensboro's government access station, Channel 13, is currently converting outdated and unserviceable analogue equipment to digital. During this time, there may be some unintended, brief audio or video signal interruptions. The City apologizes in advance for any inconvenience.

Landfill Ban
The state's new plastic bottle landfill ban requires everyone to throw plastic bottles into recycling containers. Bottle caps must be tossed into regular garbage containers. Plastic bottles are now prohibited from landfills.
