Security Division
The Security Division uses armed security officers to provide security at City facilities and provides protection to staff, City Council, boards and commissions, and visitors during planned meetings and special events. The division also develops protection strategies and conducts security assessments on all City-owned facilities, which include the use of cameras, locks, alarms, lighting, and card readers for access control. The Security Division also manages the Security ID Card program, which controls more than 3,700 access cards for employees and contractors, and conducts administrative investigations for non-criminal violations.
