Building Inspections
The Building Inspections Division provides general construction, plumbing, heating and electrical inspections and plan review services for all new construction, alterations, modifications, and additions to existing structures, and enforces local ordinances within the City.
The division enforces the NC State Building Code and local ordinances through plan review, permits, building and trades inspections, and minimum housing inspections, as well as the control and abatement of nuisances, such as overgrown lots and abandoned or junked vehicles.
