Local Ordinance Enforcement
Local Ordinance Enforcement inspectors enforce Chapter 11 of the City of Greensboro Code of Ordinances.
Regardless of whether housing is owner or tenant occupied, it must meet the minimum standards. If a residential structure in the City of Greensboro fails to meet these standards, and the owner does not make the repairs in the time allowed, the case is sent to the Minimum Standards Housing Commission.
The Minimum Standards Housing Commission meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month in the Greensboro City Council Chamber.
If you would like to petition the Inspections department to inspect a residence for compliance with the minmum housing code, you must have the signatures of five residents of the City of Greensboro.
