Sparky the fire dogSparky the Fire Dog says kids are citizens of Greensboro too! You may be the very one who knows what to do in an emergency. But the only way that's possible is for you to learn the right thing to do.

The first thing you need to know is to DIAL 9-1-1 when you see a real emergency. But don't use that number unless it is a real emergency. If you call when there is no real emergency, other people may not be able to reach help when they need it.

The Greensboro Fire Department not only puts out fires, but they go on medical calls as well. So if you DIAL 9-1-1, you will probably see a fire truck arrive at your home.

You can download pages to color and learn more about fire safety.

Remember that any fire station in Greensboro is considered a "Safe Place" so if you ever feel threatened in any way by anybody, you can go to a fire station to be safe.
