GFD Makes Temporary PIO Contact Changes

GREENSBORO, NC – (November 24, 2010) – Due to the recent retirement of Assistant Chief and Fire Department Public Information Officer David Douglas, temporary changes have been made in how media inquiries will be handled.

Effective immediately, all media inquiries related to fires or other emergency incidents should be made to the On-Duty Shift Commander at 336-430-6012. For non-emergency events or general safety information, contact Community Affairs Coordinator Leslie Lippa at 336-574-4088. 

These changes will be in effect until mid-December when a new Public Information Officer is appointed.
