About GDOT

The Greensboro Department of Transportation consists of four divisions with 75 employees providing transportation services in Greensboro.

GDOT operates four downtown parking decks and six surface parking lots for a total 4,853 spaces including on-street parking. GTA offers transit services along 24 routes and connectors, as well as door-to-door ADA paratransit service anywhere within the City limits and the new Higher Education Area Transit (HEAT) service.

GDOT operates and maintains 447 traffic signals in Greensboro. GDOT maintains the 45,000+ traffic signs throughout the city and makes more than 5,000 new traffic signs annually.
