Business and Operations Division

The Business and Operations Division is a diverse staff of professionals, administrative / customer support specialists, and maintenance professionals. The division is comprised of five sections: Administration, Technology, Parking Operations, Traffic Signal Maintenance, and Signs & Markings Maintenance. The primary goal of the division is to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

The Administration Section has friendly and courteous City representatives who help direct your calls and answer frequently asked questions. The Technology Section has technical and computer expertise, administers the Department's work management system, and the red light camera program, "SafeLight Piedmont."

The Parking Operation Section manages four municipally-owned parking decks, six surface lots, and more than 4,853 parking space locations in downtown Greensboro. The Traffic Signal Maintenance Section constructs and maintains the City’s traffic signal and traffic camera systems. The Signs & Markings Maintenance Section installs and maintains traffic signs, street name signs, and painted/thermoplastic pavement markings.
