Traffic Impact Studies

The "Transportation Impact Study (TIS) Ordinance" has been in effect since July 1, 1999. The ordinance affects any development expected to generate 100 or more peak hour trips, and/or 1,000 or more daily trips. Remember: if a TIS is required, it must be submitted 21 days prior to filing for rezoning cases or submitting subdivision/site plans. A pre-submittal conference must be held to determine the parameters of the TIS.
