Buses to Books

Buses to Books Picture
Buses to Books . . and to magazines, computers and special summer programs!

The goal of the Buses to Books program is to improve literacy skills among students by providing free transportation to Greensboro Public libraries throughout the summer. Participating students are invited to write a short story about their trip on the bus to the library. Prizes are awarded to the winner in each age category.

                                                How the Program Works

Program Length: 10 weeks during the summer

Students age 6-17 who show their library card at any branch library are provided a weekly transit pass. Buses to Books passes are a different color each week, to encourage students to visit the library at least once a week.
