US 29 / Reedy Fork Parkway Interchange Study The Greensboro Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (GUAMPO), in coordination with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Project Development and Environmental Analysis Branch (PDEA), is conducting a study on the future reconstruction of the US-29 / Reedy Fork Parkway Interchange (TIP Project R-4707). The study is also examining improvements to Summit Avenue from the interchange to Bryan Park Road.
A public workshop was conducted on November 11, 2006 to gather input on four design alternatives being considered. GUAMPO staff, consultants preparing the study and NCDOT officials were on hand to explain, discuss and answer questions. (Meeting Handout)
Completion of the study is expected by early 2011 following further analysis, coordination with various agencies (federal highway, Army Corps of Engineers, NCDOT, and others), and further involvement with stakeholders and the public. Notices of future public involvement opportunities will be posted.
