Transportation Needs  

Transportation Projects - These projects are comprehensive roadway improvements that may include additional lanes, medians, pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, or bus stop improvements to enhance overall mobility.

Short-Term Transportation Projects - High-priority projects that are recommended for construction funding in the next 10 years.

Long-Range Transportation Projects - Lower priority projects that are identified for funding in 10-20 (or more) years.

Streetscape Projects - Projects that upgrade the existing facility to improve safety and better accommodate all modes of transportation. These are generally identified in areas that require aesthetic improvements or gateway treatments.

Intersection Improvements - These projects address congestion at some of Greensboro's busiest intersections by adding turn lanes or medians to enhance traffic capacity and safety.

Pedestrian Projects - These projects would construct sidewalks, bus stop pads, and intersection wheelchair ramps along high-priority corridors.

Pedestrian Projects Requiring Road Upgrades - These projects need street improvements such as curbs and gutters in order to accommodate sidewalks.

Greenways - These projects are multiuse trails that enhance existing recreational opportunities and provide routes for alternative transportation.

Public Transportation - Service improvements for fixed-route bus service and bus stop enhancements.

Infrastructure Maintenance - Street, sidewalk, and bridge maintenance funding to keep our infrastructure in top shape.
