Technical Services Division

The Technical Services Division of Guilford Metro 911 maintains and monitors all life safety equipment located in City facilities, such as fire alarms, public address systems, security cameras, burglar systems, and more.

The majority of the division's work focuses on communication, including the 800MHz radio system serving multiple jurisdictions that not only use the systems but participate in funding.

Staff in this area are highly trained to maintain, repair, and monitor multi-million dollar communication infrastructures being used by public safety groups in Guilford County, Gibsonville, Burlington, and Greensboro, as well as by agencies such as NC A&T State University, UNCG, Moses Cone Hospital, Piedmont Triad International Airport and others.

Other services provided by this division are managing and maintaining multiple types of communication tools, such as pagers, conventional radios for special events, radars, sirens, bi-directional antennas, and more.
