Guilford Metro 9-1-1 Centers

Guilford Metro 9-1-1 operates two Public Safety Answering Points (or PSAPs) equipped with state of the art 9-1-1 call taking, call processing and dispatch equipment that allow the 9-1-1 telecommunicators to receive calls, locate the callers, process calls and then dispatch the calls faster than ever before.

The Justice PSAP (formerly the City of Greensboro Police & Fire Communications Center) receives 9-1-1 calls placed from within the city limits of Greensboro, and the Meadowood PSAP (formerly Guilford County Emergency Services Communications Center) receives 9-1-1 calls from elsewhere in Guilford County. Both communications centers are located in secured facilities and operate on a 24-hour-a-day basis.
