Spiritual Themes in The Pleasure Was Mine
The novel explores the myriad emotional, physical and spiritual complexities of a relationship struggling against the tide of Alzheimer’s Disease. In this presentation focusing on selected passages from the book, participants will explore provocative themes of a spiritual nature. What “remains” when mind and memory are stolen by dementia? How do we continue to connect; be in relationship; and honor the essence of spirit, that which is unchangeable, despite the physical ramifications of disease?
