The Business Identification Cross-Reference System
Defense Logistics Information Service link to BINCS, a search engine of manufacturers and suppliers. Information in this system is cross-referenced to permit inquiry by CAGE, DUNS, UPC, Company Name, Phone Number, SIC Code and ZIP code. Information about the supplier is returned from the CAGE File, The CCR File, The Joint US/Canada Certification Program and UPC data from the Universal Directory of Commercial Items (UDCI). BINCS provides linkages to each of these source systems for an expanded view of the trading partner's profile.
