Thanks to a partnership with Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art, Hemphill Library is more than a place to discover books; it's a place to discover art. You'll find all the services you expect from your neighborhood library, as well as art exhibits and the ArtQuest Studio.


Art Classes
Join us for weekly art classes held at our library. Class schedules are as follows:
Art Discovery, Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 pm
Art Around the Story, Thursdays from 10-11 am
Studio Plus Painting, Fridays from 3:30-5:30 pm
Studio Plus Saturdays, the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 
3- 5 pm
Red Yellow Blue! for Pre-schoolers, Fridays from 10 to 11 am

Children eight and older can participate in open studio projects. Younger children must be supervised by an adult.
