Occupation and Career Exploration
Whether you are starting out or starting over, there is help available at Greensboro Public Library.
One-on-one career counseling available by appointment. A typical session with the career counselor will last about 30-40 minutes. Be sure to bring your resume, if you have one, or a list of education or job experiences. Our career counselor will help you create a resume, walk you through searching current job listings, and provide you with next steps for your job search.
If you need help "figuring out what you want to do" the career counselor will be able to administer an interest inventory and schedule a follow up appointment to review the results. An interest inventory is a series of questions that will help match your personality, views and talents with related career options.
