Internet Safety
Greensboro Public Library assumes no responsibility for the use of the Internet by children. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to determine what is appropriate for children.
Being cautious on the Internet and talking to people of all ages about safe Intenet use is something we take very seriously at Greensboro Public Library. The more you know, the more you can benefit from all the Internet has to offer and avoid potential danger.
Talking to your children about the Internet is your first best defense against potential dangers. Learn as much as you can about using the Internet to make your life easier and learn about how your children are using the Internet. Internet Safety Pledges provide guidelines for appropriate Internet use for different age ranges. Discuss the rules for use with your children and emphasize the importance of following these rules where ever they access the Internet.
Greensboro Public Library offers customized, interactive presentations about Internet Safety for all ages. Browse our calendar for computer classes or contact us to inquire about a custom program for your group.
