Resources of the Nonprofit Resource Center at Glenwood Library
Greensboro Public Library is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. As a member of this nationwide network we are able to provide free public access to Foundation Directory Online Professional and a wealth of useful resources to organizations and individuals.
Foundation Directory Online Professional provides access to facts on grantmakers and their funding activities worldwide. To pinpoint prospective funders, explore four comprehensive databases: Grantmakers, Companies, Grants, and 990s. With geographic search tools, you can zoom in on regional and local grantmakers or grants by state, county, city, metro area, congressional district and zip code. Choose from more than 1,100 indexed search terms or keyword searches. Interactive maps and charts show a funder’s giving trends, and you can click through to see recipient lists and grant details. These tools are available from all computers at Glenwood Branch Library.
Books Our extensive collection of books includes directories, proposal writing guides, and marketing strategies. While some books are for library use only, many can be checked out for three weeks with a Greensboro Public Library card.
