American Council of the Blind
ELA Scholarship This scholarship is offered by the Ethel Louise Armstrong Foundation, Inc.
National Federation of the Blind Each year the NFB offers a broad array of scholarships (about 30) to visually-impaired students who are interested in pursuing their academic goals. Criteria and application form can be downloaded at this site.
Christian Record Services (CRS) This site will take you to the camps that are offered to the visually-impaired children, scholarships that are offered to the legally blind, full-vision books, periodicals, and many more.
Freedom Scientific Technology Scholarship Award Program 50 full-time, visually-impaired students who are working toward their undergraduate or graduate degrees will be awarded with vouchers to be applied toward purchase of any Freedom Scientific Technology products.
Greensboro Mayor's Committee for Persons with Disabilities Greensboro Mayor's Committee has recognized and awarded local high school seniors who have overcome their limitations with scholarships since 1992. One is in the amount of $2,000 and the other is in the amount of $1,000. Please see your school guidance counselors or call Melissa Cox at (336)-299-7337.
Gallaudet University's Young Scholars Program (YSP)
American Foundation for the Blind Scholarships
Brookstone College This is a local college geared to Business. It provides various financial aid and scholarship programs for persons with disabilities.
William C. Stokoe Scholarship This is an annual $2,000 scholarship award for deaf graduate students.
Home School Foundation There are various scholarship funds that you can apply for if you are homeschooling, such as The Special Needs Children’s Fund, PHC Scholarship Fund and so forth. You can download the Application Forms on this site as well.
Thurgood Marshall College Fund This is a merit-based scholarship awarded to students based on financial need.
