What's New
Yoga
Tuesdays - Beginners, 6:45-8 pm
Thursdays - Advanced, 6:45-8 pm
Registering in advance is preferred; however, walk-ins are welcome if space allows.
$50 for six-class session, $90 for 12-class session, $10 for walk-in (per class)
Classes are taught by a licensed, experienced, and insured yoga instructor. To register, or for more information, call 373-3803.

Mike Carr's Karate for Kids

Thursdays beginning September 11, 7-8:15 pm, $40 per month
These classes are designed for children ages 4 and up. Children will learn effective bully resistance techniques, stranger danger, respect for teachers and  parents. The cost includes all belt fees and tournament entries. A uniform purchase is required. Call 373-3819 to register.

Daughter Safe October 18, 1-4 pm, $99 
DaughterSafe is an empowering program of self-protection for young women 8-18 years old. The class is not a karate program but students will learn verbal and physical means of self-defense and effective methods of diffusing a  situation before it becomes physical. It will also include a presentation on Internet safety. Call 373-3819 to register.

Mom Safe
Tuesdays, September 16 - October 20, 10-11 am
$79 for a six-week session.
This class is for adult women who want to increase their confidence and skills in verbal and physical confrontations. Call 373-3819 to register.

History of Bur-Mil Park

Established in 1989 through the purchase of the former Burlington Industries recreation facility, this 250-acre park adjacent to Lake Brandt provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities to Guilford County residents. The park is owned by Guilford County and managed by the City of Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department.
