Bur-Mil Park Picnic Shelters
To get the shelter of your choice, we strongly recommend that you reserve it. A reservation ensures that your group will have the shelter of your choice on the day and time that you choose. Shelters are reserved by half days and full days. Half days run from 8 am to 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm to sunset. A shelter rental cost is based on the number of people in your group. We accept cash, checks, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express.
If you are planning an event that will use the park's trails for walking, running or a bike race, please call the park office at 336-373-3817 to make your reservation. Guilford County school groups receive a discount and must call the office at 336-373-3805 to make a reservation. Here's a map of the park.

Shelter #3 Located next to the Clubhouse Meeting & Events Center, a small toddler playground, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, and next to a Big Loop Trail entrance. This shelter has electricity and a grassy area around it in which to spread out or use for playing games. Maximum Seating Capacity: 60 10 Tables 1 large & 1 small grill Reserve this shelter now.
Shelter #4 Located behind the Clubhouse Meeting & Events Center and close to a small toddler playground, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, and directly beside the Big Loop Trail entrance. It seats up to 40 people under the shelter and has electricity and a grassy area around it in which to spread out or use for playing games. Shelter #5 Located next to the Wildlife Education Center, this shelter is also near a playground, the Atlantic-Yadkin Greenway trail entrance, and a fishing pond. Electricity is available at this shelter. Maximum Seating Capacity: 60 10 Tables 1 large grill Reserve this shelter now.
Shelter #6 Located in a wooded area between the tennis courts and Wildlife Education Center, the shelter is also near a playground and fishing pond. Restrooms can be accessed at the tennis courts or in the Wildlife Education Center. Electricity is available. Maximum Seating Capacity: 50 9 Tables 1 large grill Reserve this shelter now.
 Shelter #7 It is located near the Wildlife Education Center and has a grass volleyball court and horseshoe pits close by. It is also near the Atlantic-Yadkin Greenway entrance, Lake Brandt fishing pier and a pond. Electricity is available. Maximum Seating Capacity: 50 8 Tables 1 large grill Reserve this shelter now.
 Shelter #8 Located in a secluded area of the park off of the Atlantic-Yadkin Greenway this shelter is close to a fishing pond and directly beside the Little Loop Trail entrance. Electricity is available. Restrooms are located .25 miles from the shelter in the Wildlife Education Center. Vehicle access is not allowed except for dropping off supplies when arranged prior to the event with the Shelters Coordinator.
