David Caldwell Historic Park
The Reverend Dr. David Caldwell (1725-1824) was a Presbyterian minister, a self-trained physician, and an early educator in colonial North Carolina. At this site in 1767, he opened an academy for young men. The Academy produced five state governors!

West House Trail
The West House Trail is one of Greensboro's newest Watershed Trails, just north of the Lake Jeannette spillway that feeds into Lake Townsend. The end of the trail leads to an historic home site known as the West House, built between 1815 and 1820.
One Room Schoolhouse at Hagan-Stone Park
The Oak Grove School is a reproduction of the original one room schoolhouse that served the students of this area in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The schoolhouse is located on the appropriately named Schoolhouse Trail at Hagan-Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, NC.
