Greensboro's newest park will begin construction later in this year. Plans to construct the entire park have been placed on hold, but construction on the Community Garden Node will proceed. Additionally, a temporary community garden site will be available for the 2009 growing season. The temporary community garden plots are intended to increase available places for citizens to enjoy the pleasures of growing produce for themselves.The overall operation of the community gardens will be a combined effort involving the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Master Gardeners and Greensboro Parks and Recreation staff members.
