- A prescribed burn took place in August 2009 in a portion of the Meadowlark Sanctuary and was part of our efforts to move forward with the Piedmont Prairie habitat. To learn more about the benefits of a prescribed burn take a look at the North Carolina Prescribed Fire Council's Prescribed Fire Brochure.
- A BioBlitz is being planned for the spring of 2010, which will assist us in documenting the biodiversity in the park. More information will be posted here as planning continues.
