Each summer, the Camp Joy Activity Center is used as the day camp site for special populations, June through August. The Activity Center may be reserved late August through May, as the perfect site for corporate retreats and family reunions.

Park features include:

• Reconstructed 18th Century one-room schoolhouse 
• Five (5) handicapped accessible picnic shelters with grills 
• Two softball fields, two volleyball courts, horseshoe pits 
• Nature, hiking and mountain bike trails
• 70 trailer/RV camp sites, 16 tent sites, two group sites 
• Swimming pool, day camps (summer), two playgrounds 
• 5K and 8K cross-country course (hosts state and national high school and collegiate meets) 
• Interpretive programs (available upon request)  
• Approximately two miles from Cross, NC bike route 
• Four stocked fishing lakes, including one 23-acre lake

Picnic Shelter Information
To get the shelter of your choice, we strongly recommend you reserve it. A reservation ensures your group will have the shelter of its choice on the day you choose. We accept cash, checks, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express. 

Guilford County school groups receive a discount and must call the office at 336-373-5888 to make a reservation.
