Lake Brandt

Lake Brandt is an 816-acre municipal reservoir. The lake was originally built in 1925 and raised to its present level in 1958. Lake Brandt is named in honor of Leon Brandt, who served as the mayor of Greensboro from 1907 to 1908. The lake is located on Lake Brandt Road, two miles north of the city limits.

Lake Brandt features fishing, kayaking and canoeing. The lake is home to large mouth bass, crappie, catfish and other species. At Lake Brandt, you can rent rowboats, kayaks, and canoes.

Three launch ramps are also available to launch private boats. A snack area and restroom are located at the Lake Brandt Marina. Lake Brandt picnic shelter
