Trail Mix 5K Race
Registration begins at 7 am, race starts at 8 am. Do you love trails? Then this 3.1-mile foot race is the perfect way to express your love! The first 50 registrants will receive free running socks from our event co-sponsor, Great Outdoor Provision Company. The Trail Mix 5K course is part paved greenway and part natural surface trail, hence the name! Register now online or download the registration form and mail it in. Race day registration will also be available, but you may miss out on free running socks! Participants will be able to pick up their packets race day only. View course map. This is a rain or shine event. 

7 to 10 am - Join us for your choice of on-trail activity
Long Hike -
7 am. This 10-mile guided hike will allow participants to experience several of our most beautiful watershed trails and will end back at the park at about 11:30 am. Make sure to wear appropriate shoes, and bring water and a light snack. Meet the group at Bur-Mil Park's Wildlife Education Center parking lot.

Intermediate Hike - 8 am. This five-mile guided hike is a great way to get acquainted with our beautiful watershed trails system. Meet the group at Bur-Mil Park's Wildlife Education Center parking lot.

Guided Nature Walk - 9 am. Join us for a 2.5-mile interpretive nature walk for kids of all ages. Your hike leader will point out unique natural and historical features along a beautiful watershed trail. A shuttle will be provided to transport you to the start location. Meet the group at Bur-Mil Park's Wildlife Education Center parking lot.

Intro to Mountain Biking Ride - 9 am. Have you ever wanted to try out mountain biking, but did not know where to begin? Bring your mountain bike to National Trails Day to participate in a guided ride. Your ride leader will give you tips, tricks and pointers as you make your way along the Owl's Roost trail. Meet at the Wildlife Center parking lot. 

9 am to 12 noon - Greensboro's 14th annual National Trails Day Vendor Fair

National Trails DayTrails Vendor Fair - This festival favorite features diverse and interactive exhibits and vendors that provide information on the latest happenings on and around Greensboro's trails, local wildlife, health benefits of trails and healthy lifestyles, and fun to be had in the great outdoors. Be sure to get a free ticket when you arrive for a chance to win great raffle prizes, donated by many local and national sponsors.

Live Music - Feet will be tapping, and possibly even dancing, when our local bluegrass band take the stage.
