Were you raised to kill a snake on sight “just to be safe,” in case it is poisonous? Let us show you the truth about the snakes and spiders of NC. Learn the telltale signs that will help you identify a poisonous snake or spider vs. a harmless one. You will have the chance to see and handle some of the snakes that are most commonly (and unfairly) mistaken for dangerous ones. We will also cover what to do if you are bitten by a snake or spider.

Organic dyes made from vegetables and herbs give rich, earthy colors to eggs. To celebrate spring, many ancient cultures dyed eggs and gave them as gifts. Our ancestors, however, did not use dye tablets that fizzed! They colored their eggs with dyes made from materials found in nature. We will provide the eggs and the basket as well as the dye material.
