Hester Park

Named in honor of Oka T. Hester, former director of the Parks & Recreation Department, Hester Park provides leisure recreation for people of all ages. Hester Park is home to Greensboro’s only programmed evening volleyball leagues that play on grass under lights. The park features three soccer / football fields, programmed by the Parks & Recreation Department, as well as eight lighted laykold tennis courts.
Area fishermen can enjoy a well-stocked lake, offered free to Guilford County residents (NC fishing laws apply). The fitness trail (1.3 miles) will challenge both the beginner and expert athlete with an extensive program of exercise and jogging. Trotter Center also offers a variety of programs, as well as sports camps.
