Laurel Bluff Trail (3.5 miles)
The Laurel Bluff Trail traverses beautiful woodland and wetlands along the edge of Reedy Fork Creek. This trail is one of six Watershed Trails that have been designated as part of the North Carolina Mountains-to-Sea Trail. Amble through a mountain laurel grove on the Laurel Bluff Trail while taking in great views of the backwaters of
Lake
Townsend
.
The Laurel Bluff Trail is sponsored by the T. Gilbert Pearson Chapter of the Audubon Society.
How do I get there?
Laurel Bluff Trail starts on the east side of
Lake Brandt Road
, approximately one-quarter mile north of the Lake Brandt Marina, south of the Lake Brandt spillway. Ample parking is available. The trail can also be accessed from
Church Street, as
there is a small gravel parking lot at the
Church Street
entrance.
Please Note:
Bicycles are prohibited on the Laurel Bluff Trail.
The Watershed Trails are open year-round, from sunrise to sunset.
