Barber Park Sprayground Project
Project Description:
The Barber Park Sprayground Project will provide significant enhancements to the heart of Barber Park.
Project elements include the construction of:
A "sprayground" featuring spraying water elements for interactive play
A new playground
A new restroom and concessions building
Six new picnic shelters.
Project Status:
Site Work
The site has been cleared and graded per the construction documents and site plan. Underground piping for the storm water management system has been directed to storm water inlet locations. Storm water inlets have been roughed in and stubbed up at proposed locations. Duke Energy has installed the underground electrical service and set a new transformer that will serve the area.
Pool House Building
Underground and under-slab plumbing piping have been roughed in and stubbed outside the building footprint and the building slab has been poured. The exterior masonry walls have been laid up to the bond beam and plumbing has been roughed in the walls.
Concessions Building
Underground and under-slab plumbing pipe have been roughed in and stubbed outside the building footprint and the building slab has been poured. The metal framing for the exterior walls has started and the plumbing has been roughed in the walls.
The completed work is about 20 percent of the total job.
